Note: (October 2018) When Allin Gillett of Edmonton stopped in Brighton in October 2018, we went to the Hilton Cemetery to see why there was a good picture of Abijah Gillett's memorial online but I had no picture from my cemetery surving activities. The answer is that the memorial was lying on the ground, moslty under the ground, much broken up and in poor shape. However, not that I have seen the same stone much earlier, I can see the primary markings, even the date 1865, enough to determine that it is the same stone. Thanks, Allin, for helping clear this up.⁶
