Date and place of birth is uncertain for this John Dingman. It is certainly not the John Dingman who is a son of Samuel and Maria Dingman where we have a baptism in 1788. If Jared Dingman, born 1803, is, in fact, a son of this John Dingman, then John's birth is most likley in the late 1770s or earlier. Was his marriage to Hannah Powley his first marriage or second?
