Gordon Robert Newberry died in 1977 at Olympia, Washington, U.S.A; "Gordon was first married to Helen Carmichael and they farmed in the Archive district before they moved to Vancouver where Gordon was employed as a policeman. After Helen died, Gordon moved back to Moose Jaw. He later married Ruby Buchanan, a school teacher. They moved to Chehalis, Washington in 1923. Ruby may have been related to Bill Buchanan who married Bessie West and also lived in Chehalis Washington.
