He arrived in 1775, intending to settle in New York with his cousins; was impressed into the Royal Highland Emigrants in Nova Scotia; was taken Prisoner in Charlestown NC July 1776, sent back to Scotland in 1778 or 1780, had his children Archibald and Catherine born there, and returned to Canada in 1786. Somehow he was given a lot in Charlottenburgh, but he lived by the Bay of Quinte. He may have died very early on.
