Ross, a resident of Campbellford since 1973 and a former resident of Codrington, died at Carewell Nursing Home, Campbellford on Monday, May 2, 1994. She was 91 years of age. Born in Mormora on July 15, 1902, she was the daughter of the late Marvin McComb and the later former Agnes Johnson. Also predeceasing her were her husband, Charles V. Ross, whom she married in Morganston in 1925; her son, James; and her tow brothers, Lorne and Alec McComb. Charles died in December 29, 1970. She is survivied by two daughters; Cherrie Hennessey, R.R. #1, Codrington, and Jean (Mrs. Pat Quinn), R. R. #4, Campbellford; and by five sisters, Sarah McComb, Cambellford; Nettie Campbell, Grafton; Grace McComb, Warkworth; Verna Rusk, Castleton; and Una Buchanan, Belleville. She is lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Margaret was a member of the Codrington Women's Institute. Some of her interests included reading, baking, crosheting, knitting, canning and raising chickens. She was an excellent farm hostess and loved animals. The late Mrs. Ross rested at Jolliffe Funeral Home, Warkworth. The funeral service was held in the chapen on Wednesday, May 4, at 1:30 p.m. The Reverend Dr. Bill Stephenson officiated. Interment was in Warkworth Cemetery.
